One more poet into the world arrived,
the moment I observed
the death of death, the life of life –
the child that I birthed.
It happened like this, my unveiling:
blood made my groin sear,
my soul was spiraling, my child – wailing
in the arms of the nurse from fear.

Поэтом больше стало на свете,
когда увидела я
жизнь жизни, смерть смерти -
рождённое мной дитя.
Таким оно было, моё начало:
кровь обжигала пах,
душа парила, дитя кричало
у медсестры на руках.
